Responsibilities:
- Manage all import and export activities, including customs clearance, freight forwarding, documentation, and liaising with regulatory bodies.
- Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies to optimize import, export, and cross-trade processes.
- Negotiate and secure competitive rates with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all import and export documentation, adhering to UAE regulations and international trade compliance standards.
- Track shipments, monitor inventory levels, and manage warehouse operations (if applicable).
- Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Identify and manage potential risks associated with international trade, including customs delays and disruptions.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, customs officials, and other stakeholders in the logistics industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a logistics management role, preferably within the import/export industry.
- Proven experience in handling all aspects of import and export documentation.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE and UK import/export regulations and customs procedures.
- Strong understanding of international trade practices and Incoterms.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
