About the Role:
We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Head of Growth to lead the sales and marketing function for one of their portfolio companies. This pivotal role will transition the business from founder-led sales to a scalable, professionalized growth model while driving new logo acquisition and expanding revenue opportunities.

As the Head of Growth, you'll act as a player-coach, balancing hands-on sales efforts with building a high-performing team. You'll also collaborate cross-functionally to align sales, marketing, account management, and operations, ensuring sustainable and measurable growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transition from Founder-Led Sales:

    • Lead the shift from founder-led sales to a structured, scalable approach.
    • Build trust with existing clients and create systems to attract and secure new business.
  • Professionalize the Sales Function:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales structure, including processes, metrics, and playbooks.
    • Recruit, train, and manage a Business Development Representative (BDR) team.
    • Establish and maintain robust sales tooling, compensation plans, and performance dashboards.
  • Player-Coach Leadership:

    • Use your network and expertise to prospect and close deals personally.
    • Once established, scale a sales team and provide mentorship to drive consistent performance.
  • Cross-Functional Growth Campaigns:

    • Design and execute collaborative campaigns that align sales, marketing, account management, and operations.
    • Ensure cohesive efforts across departments to maximize new logo acquisition and customer retention.
  • Strategic Partnership with the CEO:

    • Act as a key advisor to the CEO, helping shape the organizations overall business strategy.
    • Translate strategic goals into actionable sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Industry Expertise:

    • Previous experience selling within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is highly preferred.
    • Leverage industry insights to differentiate offerings and create competitive advantages.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in sales and marketing leadership, preferably within an MSP or similar service-driven environment.
  • Strong ability to build and scale sales teams, processes, and metrics.
  • Demonstrated success in driving new logo acquisition and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to build trust at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic mindset with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and execute tactically.
