Radiographer
Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Radiographer to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures offered by the hospital, while ensuring high standards of service quality, patient care, efficiency, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Verify patient identity and ensure all radiation safety protocols and procedural consents, as outlined in the SOP, are strictly followed.
- Confirm image quality is optimal, properly labeled, and that the full requested examination is completed before forwarding for reporting or providing wet-film to the patient.
- Accurately input the correct examination code into the system, matching the procedure requested.
- Clearly explain the procedure and estimated duration to patients before the examination.
- Prioritize patient safety and well-being, both physical and emotional, throughout the imaging process.
- Ensure all necessary precautions are taken to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to patients, staff, and the public.
- Participate in on-call and after-hours duties as required, responding promptly and in line with hospital standards.
- Conduct daily quality assurance (QA) checks on equipment, following manufacturers guidelines to ensure optimal functionality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Applied Science (Radiography) or Diploma in Radiography from a recognized institution.
- Registered member of a professional radiography body, locally or internationally.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a diagnostic imaging setting.
- Willing to participate in on-call duty rotations.
- Experience in imaging sub-specialties such as CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Mammography is preferred.
- Candidates with experience managing Modality areas may be considered for a senior role.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service and handle public inquiries.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in a second language is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
