Senior Compliance Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Senior Compliance Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Compliance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our products. You will be responsible for developing and conducting tests and experiments to assess the safety levels of our products, components and subsystems.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct tests to evaluate product safety to meet the required product standard.
- Isolate potential safety hazards, reduce liability concerns and actions.
- Construct precautionary instructions on the label.
- Analyse chemical features to ensure nothing is hazardous to meet RoHS and Reach requirements.
- Anticipate, recognize, and evaluate safety hazards.
- Determine regulatory/certification/compliance issues and/or identify foreseeable misuses.
- Review and approve or modify changes to products to meet the required product standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement due diligence actions to resolve customer issues.
- Maintain proficiency in worldwide safety regulations through research, development of the network, and ongoing education.
- Establish product safety self-audit checklist and manage ongoing self-audit program
- Conduct periodic product safety self-audits to ensure ongoing compliance across multiple product lines
- Compile and publish product safety self-audit reports, update Management and customer internal self-audit and actual regulatory audit results
- Identify regulatory compliance issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement due diligence actions to resolve compliance issues
- Host regulatory agency onsite audit
- Maintain proficiency in worldwide safety regulations through research, development of network, and ongoing education.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business-related field with 5+ years experience
- Experience in strategy creation, and project leadership
- Proven experience in safety engineering or a similar role, preferably in the autonomous robotics industry
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate safety requirements to employees at all levels.
- Experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Proficiency in using safety management systems, data analysis tools, and software applications.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional) are a plus
- Those with more years of experiences will be considered for the Lead role.
