Assistant Accounts Manager
Job Description:
Our client is a prominent public listed company renowned for its engineering related products and services. As part of their recent growth, their Singapore office is seeking a dynamic Accounts Assistant Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements for a public listed company.
- Manage the consolidation of accounts for the group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards, liaise with external auditors, and support internal audit processes.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
- Manage tax compliance and reporting, including GST and corporate tax filings.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with the regional accounting manager and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency in accounting practices across the region.
- Frequently travel to Malaysia to coordinate with the companys offices and manage cross-border financial activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong understanding of public listed company accounts, consolidation, and group accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Willingness and ability to frequently travel to Malaysia as required.
- Demonstrates high ethical standards and integrity in all aspects of work.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Works collaboratively with others, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
