M&E Design Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced M&E Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in electromechanical fields, including electrical, HVAC, air conditioning, and fire protection systems. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of local design regulations and expertise in CAD design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed designs for mechanical and electrical systems, including electrical, HVAC, air conditioning, and fire protection systems.
- Utilize CAD software to create precise and accurate design drawings and layouts.
- Ensure all designs comply with local design regulations, standards, and codes.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Review and approve design documents and drawings, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure the proper implementation of designs.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the project team throughout the design and construction phases.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure designs are correctly implemented and meet quality standards.
- Identify and resolve any design-related issues or discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design calculations, specifications, and reports.
- Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accurately reflects the current design and project status.
- Present design concepts and progress reports to clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in M&E design, preferably in Malaysia.
- Proven experience in designing electrical, HVAC, air conditioning, and fire protection systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and other design tools.
- Strong understanding of local design regulations, standards, and codes.
- Excellent technical drawing and drafting skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Position is based in KL, Malaysia.
