Responsibilities:

  • Works with category leads to supply necessary goods that are sought for the board.
  • Handles the purchase cycle with care to guarantee the intended outcome, including requisition processing.
  • Coordinating daily with boats to guarantee timely information and promptly handle questions and/or grievances
  • Maintain high levels of productivity and service quality. Actively distribute best practices throughout the groups.
  • Works with the ship, the agents, and the local ship chandlers to ensure that orders are delivered smoothly.
  • Addresses supply-related concerns brought up directly by the vessel
  • Gives the captain and superintendent input on the local ship chandler in order to keep costs under control.
  • Prepare invoices for payment.
  • Handles daily purchasing-related tasks to guarantee the prompt and safe delivery of requisitions placed by the vessel, taking into account the item's criticality.
  • Responds to requests made by boats in Oracle Supply Chain, the company's procurement module
  • Talks with category leads about delivery and pricing
  • Fulfils the objective of operating vessels in a timely, safe, and cost-effective manner in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Examine and evaluate requests in accordance with stakeholder requirements.
  • Respect the applicable frame agreements and the vessel's pre-selected costs.
  • After approved (to be confirmed), issue the purchase order (PO) with all the necessary information (such as the agent's details and ETB).
  • Make that the supplier sends an order confirmation.
  • Check-in regarding the delivery two days prior to ETB

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any school with a minimum of one to three years of relevant work experience in procurement, ideally in the ship management sector
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience in procurement, ideally in the ship management industry, and an IVE or diploma from any faculty
  • IT savvy to operate with sophisticated procurement systems
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities, as well as the capacity for all forms of communication
  • High level of stress, ability to manage multiple activities in constrained time periods in an organised way, and attention to detail
  • Stout and with a strong personality
  • New graduates will also be taken into account.
  • English proficiency is a need.
