Job Responsibilities:
- The creation, upkeep, and ongoing enhancement of the organization's Quality Management System (QMS), maritime class approvals, and regulatory obligations .
- Arrange, plan, and take the initiative to spearhead quality-related projects and advance a culture of quality inside the business.
- Sustaining and enhancing quality performance to satisfy all Divisions or the sustained level.
- Complete all necessary internal and external audits and inspections as requested by clients or third parties.
- Creating, carrying out, and overseeing the audit and approval programme; reporting audit results; and making sure corrective measures are followed through on.
- Assist the department by giving the team the necessary training and direction as needed in order to follow up on the root cause analysis and develop a suitable action plan to stop problems from happening again.
- Investigate incidents and compile succinct reports in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Employee education and training regarding the QMS and its associated procedures, quality concepts, instruments, and methods, among other things.
- Verify that all licences for products and services are controlled for both new applications and renewals at the Singapore site.
- Cost allocation and control for projects linked to the QMS, resource management, training, costs associated with third-party audits and certification, and professional subscription fees.
- Efficiently executes quality protocols for every designated location, adhering to legal, regulatory, and best practices. records and upholds the quality approvals, procedures, and accreditations registry for the designated locations and regions.
- Ensures that all pertinent regional colleagues are aware of their roles in supporting and maintaining Quality Assurance processes by communicating quality procedures to all assigned sites.
- Follows the audit calendar when managing technical, operational, health, safety, and environmental audits.
- Takes part in quality, non-conformance, and complaint investigations, making sure that conclusions are suitably documented, reported, and escalated. keeps track of and investigates supplier CAPA and improvement actions
- Participates in statistical studies that serve as the foundation for improvement recommendations.
- Informs top management and business executives about matters pertaining to compliance or that call for the development or enhancement of supplier quality.
- Any ad hoc tasks or projects that are allocated.
Requirements:
- At least five years of relevant managerial experience in the marine, aviation, or similar industries are required, along with a degree in engineering or quality assurance, or an equivalent.
- Qualified internal/lead auditor according to ISO9001:2015.
- Passing the CAAS M10/L11/L12 Exam with distinction.
- It will be advantageous to be able to comprehend CMM, especially the illustrated part listing (IPL) and the special equipment and tooling listing.
- Ideally has prior experience communicating with OEMs to expand capabilities.
- Lean, Kaizen, and 5S certification or expertise; or familiarity with standard quality tools and practices.
- Familiarity with pertinent standards and the capacity to learn about the guidelines pertaining to the quality systems unique to the aviation, maritime, and military sectors;
- Hands-on experience in developing, maintaining, and administering quality management systems.
- Understanding of the creation and real-world application of Lean, CI, and other comparable methodologies in the context of engineering, manufacturing, and/or supply chains.
- Capable of inspiring and leading the team with demonstrated managerial abilities and strong leadership.
- Well organised, resourceful, meticulous, and a good team player.
- Able to use Microsoft Office products (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and have a strong internet presence
- Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities.
- The capacity to organise, prioritise, and operate under pressure to meet deadlines while remaining flexible and adaptive to changing circumstances and demands.
