About the job Marine Manager
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and organising the fleet's commercial operations, including the distribution of its vessels, in conjunction with the ships and the marine staff.
- In order to execute the C/P terms and conditions, communicate with the owners of the vessels, the commercial operators, the charterers, and the sub-charters.
- In order to ensure that the vessel is available for commercial operations, maintain continuous communication with the Fleet Cell regarding operational needs.
- Oversee the crew's work on the vessel, including the preparation of the hold, loading and unloading of cargo, and reporting and documentation requirements.
- Monitoring the equipment and requirements for the vessel to prepare the cargo tanks/holds and other requirements for flawless C/P execution, in conjunction with the Marine Team and Fleet Cell.
- Notifying the Line Manager and/or upper management of occurrences and other matters of concern, and offering assistance when needed and determining the Marine Management team's training requirements.
- In order to guarantee that the extent of commercial preparedness, including Charterers' objections, is taken into account while designing the dock requirements, engage with the fleet cell for boats booked for dry docks.
- Make sure that the highest ship management standards are upheld in order to satisfy clients and other stakeholders in the business.
- Maintain a proactive approach to managing client relationships by consistently raising the standard of service rendered in compliance with the management agreement.
Requirements:
- Acknowledged maritime education and/or related sea experience.
- A desirable certificate of competency for a chief officer or master mariner
- Experience in a commercial capacity ashore or as a superintendent.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to communicate and engage with individuals at all levels.
- Strong organising and planning abilities.
- The capacity to come up with original and practical answers to issues.
- Devoted to offering value for money, keeping expenses in control, and providing high-quality service.
