Job Description:

  • To enhance utilisation and trade performance, space can be optimised by keeping an eye on reservations and modifying the distribution of load and discharge ports.
  • Modifying freight loading in close consultation with local stakeholders, including rolling and rerouting.
  • Coordinating with the trade, marketing, and product analysis teams to direct freight to maximise income on available capacity.
  • Aiming for high service utilisation by using downfall analysis and forecast management.
  • Working with stowage planners and commercial departments to plan for seasonality fluctuations.
  • Working with the equipment team to support the empty flow plan's implementation.
  • Minimising waste by promptly organising and carrying such tasks, like as renominations and longstanding at ports.
  • Collaborating closely with Marine Operations to manage eventualities such as cargo overflows, port omissions, swaps, and schedule delays in order to guarantee schedule reliability.
  • Bringing suggestions to the table to enhance departmental and team processes.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of services and providing inputs to represent capability for better services.
  • Forming cooperative partnerships and overseeing the VSA, SWAP, and SCA agreements.
  • Putting together relevant reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline
  • Two to three years of experience in the maritime sector, preferably working in the commercial, trade, or capacity/cargo flow departments.
  • A capable team player who can promote knowledge exchange and a shift in perspective among our partners and internal agencies.
  • Like solving puzzles and the erratic obstacles that come with shipping, such as Red Sea crises or disruptions caused by COVID-19.
  • Data-savvy: loves working with statistics and knows how to use them to tell a story! Prerequisites include programming, database management systems, and data visualisation tools.
