About the job IT Manager
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure for both shore and sea-based operations.
- Handle hardware issues reported by users and coordinate with vendors for solutions.
- Oversee incident management and ensure timely resolution with vendors.
- Manage software installations, updates, and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Support users with access requests for guests and vendors.
- Perform routine checks on hardware and software, resolving issues in coordination with vendors.
- Handle procurement, repair, disposal, and sale of IT assets.
- Administer IT policies, documentation, and user guides.
- Stay updated on new solutions and recommend upgrades or improvements.
- Work with the Systems Manager to support user needs.
- Implement and manage network and endpoint security with vendors.
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies across company systems.
- Set up monitoring policies and ensure timely responses to alerts.
- Collaborate with users to balance security with operational needs.
- Regularly test for vulnerabilities and address potential risks.
- Monitor and respond to security breaches and incidents.
- Create and manage a cybersecurity incident response framework.
- Provide regular reports on security issues and breaches.
- Conduct routine cybersecurity awareness and training for users.
- Oversee the recovery process after security incidents, following set guidelines.
- Work with the Data team to implement and enforce data policies across systems.
- Support Data Governance, Data Loss Prevention, and regular backups in coordination with vendors.
- Supervise IT team members, including work schedules and training.
- Assist with performance appraisals and provide daily operational guidance.
- Collaborate with other departments to support their IT needs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing the M365 Business Suite, including services such as Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Servers, Security Policies, Defender, Intune, and SharePoint.
- Skilled in deploying and managing desktops, laptops, and other work devices for both office and offshore environments.
- Experience working with vendors to provide user support according to agreed SLAs.
- Familiar with procurement, maintenance, on-site/off-site support, and handling the sale of used equipment.
- Strong knowledge of networking, network hardware, and cloud infrastructure.
- Proficient in managing both Windows and Mac devices.
- Experience managing devices within an MDM setup connected to a domain.
- Experienced in setting up, managing, and collaborating with vendors on security solutions.
