- Key Responsibilities
- Manage the vessel accounting team(s) to ensure that vessel reports are submitted to clients/ stakeholders on time.
- Communicate with vessel owners to ensure their accounting needs are met.
- Responsible for the management of the vessels' accounts receivable and ensuring that all receivables are properly managed / assessed on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with vessel accountants to discover various revenue streams and facilitate timely recovery from ship owners.
- Drive the development of a periodic financial position for all accounts receivables and present it to the appropriate senior management.
- Accountable for providing appropriate internal stakeholders with decision support through financial analysis of the vessel.
- Draw high-level insights from past financials and future predictions to assist important internal stakeholders' decision-making processes, and link business decisions with financial implications.
- Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to investigate and address budget or forecast variances, and communicate results to the Senior Manager Finance and Accounting Singapore.
- Develop direct reports' competencies through formal or informal mentoring and the implementation of development programs.
- Drive the discovery and closure of competency gaps through direct report performance reviews and engagement with HR.
Job Requirements:
- Proven success as Accounts / Finance Manager or equivalent position of a global organisation
- In-depth knowledge and experience in the discipline of Accounting and Finance
