Vessel IT Engineer

Reposnsibilities:

• Oversee and upkeep of the fleet department's networks and computer systems
• Assure the seamless functioning and operation of the IT infrastructure aboard ships.
• Install, set up, and resolve hardware and software issues
• Provide onboarding personnel technical support and assistance with IT-related difficulties.
• Keep track of and update your software licensing and IT equipment inventory.
• Keep abreast on new developments and trends in the maritime IT sector.
• Put data protection procedures and security safeguards into action.
• Work together with the IT team to create and execute IT plans and solutions for the fleet division.

Requirements:

• Information technology or a similar subject bachelor's degree
• Prior experience in the maritime sector overseeing IT systems
• Strong familiarity with navigational aids and maritime communication systems
• Availability to work and travel on board vessels
