About the job Sales manager (Marine service)
Responsibilities:
- Visit existing clients and develop new customers in the offshore and marine sectors.
- Submit weekly visit reports.
- Sell replacement parts for diesel engines and secure orders to meet sales targets.
- Monitor orders from placement to final delivery.
- Prepare bids and quotes for clients.
- Review cost estimates, tenders, and quotations to ensure accuracy.
- Plan and ensure bids and inquiries are correctly valued, quoted, and submitted according to the client's specifications.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with orders or contracts.
- Manage primary sales forecasts.
- Maintain high-quality customer service and nurture strong relationships with clients.
- Be responsible for meeting sales targets and maximizing profit margins.
- Stay up-to-date with product developments, industry news, trends, competitors, and relevant information on existing and new technologies.
- Lead discussions on the companys technical solutions with customers and the sales team, building client trust.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams to develop strong relationships and understand sales strategies, account management, and opportunity handling.
- Provide regular, accurate reports and account updates.
- Contribute to the growth of the company by sharing specialized knowledge and offering coaching and training as needed.
- Organize, oversee, and participate in trade events and exhibitions.
- Conduct market research and gather feedback from customers on sales and service strategies, follow-up methods, and after-sales service quality.
- Take responsibility for cross-diversification business reports and monthly business development reports.
- Assist in the creation of annual operating budgets, business plans, and goals, and help execute them to meet targets.
- Lead the trading team and assume signing authority in the managers absence.
- Handle any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Diploma in Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience in the Marine, Offshore, or Oil & Gas industries.
