About the job Vetting Manager (Containers)
Key Responsibilities:
- In charge of confirming the SMS and assessing the procedure's efficacy and quality
- In charge of preventing incidents and conducting investigations, as well as managing and monitoring P&I insurance claims that result from the occurrence
- In charge of all audits, both internal and external
- In charge of providing top executives with briefings
- In charge of the onboard familiarisation with SMS
- In charge of the onboard management review and safety meeting
- In charge of carrying out policies and procedures in accordance with business SMS
- Ad hoc Projects assigned by the Global Head of Technical or the Deputy General Manager (Marine)
- In charge of communicating CP information and making sure that the terms of the charter are followed on board the vessel as needed.
Important performance indicators:
- Timely completion of the task
- Timely and accurate communication both internally and externally
- Client satisfaction
- Robust internal functioning connections
Requirements:
- In charge of preventing incidents and conducting investigations, including managing P&I insurance issues
- Thorough comprehension of the sector and familiarity with important players
- Relevant industry experience or a comparable industry credential
- Ideally one year of Master's level sailing experience
- Shore Experience for at least two to three years in an HSEQ role
- At least one to two years of shore experience in quality assurance and vetting
- Prior experience as a successful business leader
