About the job Vessel Manager (Bulk) - Hong Kong
Job Responsibilities:
- Guarantees that vessels are operated in a way that complies with company's Safety Management System, class, statutory, and economical standards.
- Establishes objectives and timelines, aggressively implements company's values and processes for compliance with marine workers, and mentors and develops juniors, masters, chief engineers, and officers with potential in the company daily provides designated vessels with operational and technical support and direction.
- Oversees the performance of the vessel and makes sure that prompt, effective, and efficient follow-up activities are taken.
- Creates, monitors, and optimizes operating budgets for vessels, all the while making sure that the vessels are maintained and operated in accordance with company's and our clients' requirements.
- Plans, oversees, and controls significant repairs and dry docking.
- Carries out regular vessel visits, including sailing visits, to confirm condition and compliance with company standards
Job Requirements:
- A postgraduate degree (MEng or MSc) or equivalent qualification in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline with five years of experience as Superintendent of PCTC, Container, or Bulk Carrier, or at least two years of sailing experience as Chief Engineer in PCTC, Container, or Bulk Carrier with two years of experience as Superintendent of PCTC, Container, or Bulk Carrier.
- Competent speaker of English with strong communication skills
- Be equipped to travel far on a regular basis and without limitations
