About the job General Manager
Job Description:
- The ideal applicant must have strong business acumen and be accountable for the P&L and operational success of the Singapore branch.
- Responsible for overall coordination with all internal stakeholders in order to execute strategic strategies in order to fulfill monthly and quarterly sales and profit targets.
- Oversees and administers relevant visual dashboards for performance monitoring and operational optimization in order to maximize operational performance and ultimately provide bottom-line results.
- Oversees companywide initiatives to ensure essential deliverables are met in order to optimize resources, save money, and enhance efficiency.
- Responsible for the overall coordination of essential last mile tasks to ensure customer satisfaction and quality goals are fulfilled.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, and ensuring that staff and leaders are on the same page with strategic goals.
- The potential individual must be well-versed in bus operations.
- Ensure that corporate policies are conveyed throughout the organization and that they are followed at all times.
- Ensure that the organization is in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ad hoc responsibilities delegated by the Managing Director.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in a suitable discipline (for example, business, management, or marketing). An MBA or other higher degree is a plus.
- Experience as a General Manager or in another managing position is required. Experience in Marine Services is required.
- Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities are required.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Visionary thinking and the capacity to turn vision into action.
- Proven ability to drive revenue and profitability.
- Understanding of industry trends and best practices.
