Role & Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of technicians in testing multi-way valves, providing guidance and direction throughout the process.
  • Supervision and Troubleshooting: Oversee the inspection and troubleshooting of multi-way valves and HPS pumps to identify defects, malfunctions, or performance issues.
  • Testing Management: Manage the testing process for multi-way valves, ensuring compliance with quality standards and procedures.
  • Supplier and Inventory Coordination: Assist the manager in coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, including procurement and arrangement of spare parts, and maintaining inventory of consumable spares and service kits.
  • Recommendations and Servicing: Provide expert recommendations based on test results and supervise component servicing to optimize performance and lifespan.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports covering testing procedures, findings, and recommendations for both internal and external stakeholders. Report internally to the superintendent engineer.
  • Test Equipment Maintenance: Ensure testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated for accurate and reliable results.
  • Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to understand client needs, address inquiries, and offer technical support as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce QA procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of FIVA component testing.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to testing procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to staff to improve skills and ensure adherence to industry best practices and standards.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in marine or mechanical engineering.
  • At least five years of experience in the marine, offshore, or power generation sectors, with expertise in two- and four-stroke diesel engines and familiarity with high-speed engines.
