Expansion of the company in designated areas, accounts, and leads

  • Proactive search for and acquisition of new business opportunities, with an emphasis on revenue growth year over year to produce more revenue and a larger market share
  • The opportunity to get new contracts that enhance and expand our current product offering in the Ship Management industry will be our main focus for revenue development.
  • Oversee the capture and proposal team's operations, paying particular attention to the needs of the client, their budget, competitive analysis, and price-to-win calculations.
  • Plan customer calls and communicate with customers in order to build crucial trust with senior executives.
  • Finding strategic partners, allies, and alliances for important opportunities to pursue
  • Maintain a pipeline of potential new business possibilities, including their qualifying, pursuit, and regular reevaluation.

Put sales cycle procedures and policies into context for the designated markets, accounts, and leads.

  • Responsible for adapting sales cycle procedures and rules to the specific markets, accounts, and leads that they are assigned
  • To help the director of business development customise sales cycle rules and procedures to their own company environment while abiding by overarching commercial strategy and financial controls, obtain insights from the research of the local business environment.
  • Evaluate established rules and procedures in the sales cycle and, if necessary, work with the director of business development to bring them into compliance with the regional business climate.

Sync up business development initiatives

  • Markets are coordinated, accounts for, and contributes to company's commercial and business plan.
  • Build, nurture, and preserve connections with influential people, opinion leaders, and prospective clients to have a thorough grasp of their wants and expectations going forward.
  • Analyse changes in the company's commercial strategy in the context of the responsible area and strive to develop and implement new measures.
  • Attend pertinent industry conferences and forums to keep up with the latest tactics, aims, and ambitions of your clients.

Oversee daily activities

  • Responsible for fostering business ties between the company and designated current and future clients.
  • Oversee the sales support team's compilation of budgets and tenders for technical and new building supervision projects for both current and potential clients.
  • Examine and handle requests from both new and current clients for agreements, managers' undertakings, and ship registry in tandem with the legal and insurance departments.
  • Communication and networking amongst internal and external stakeholders to guarantee the generation and development of leads into clients.
  • If necessary, negotiate at a high level and resolve disputes with clients through proposals.
  • Adhere to appropriate international rules and corporate policies at all times when conducting business.

Qualifications:

  • Sales Manager, General Manager, Head, or SNP Broker with at least seven years of experience and notable accomplishments in the workplace / Proven track record of bringing in high-value contracts across a variety of product lines, such as tankers and/or bulk
  • Master's degree in business administration or a similar discipline with strong academic credentials
  • Expertise in overseeing sales cycle operations.
  • Competent in managing competitive product analysis through the use of market research methods and has a strong technical grasp of customer demands.
  • Strong analytical, relationship-building, leadership, and communication (written, verbal, and presentation) abilities
