Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Manage the full electrical vessel construction process from start to finish.
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the site, making sure that all tasks are in compliance with the project's schedule and quality requirements.
- Create and manage project schedules to guarantee that milestones are delivered on time.
Leadership:
- Oversee a group of engineers, managers, and subcontractors, offering direction and assistance as required.
- Encourage a healthy work atmosphere that encourages cooperation and teamwork among all site employees.
Quality Control
- Verify that all work is completed in compliance with industry norms, safety laws, and project specifications.
- Perform routine audits and inspections to guarantee the integrity and quality of the ship's electrical systems.
Stakeholder correspondence:
- Act as the main point of contact for enquiries about project status and site activity from clients, suppliers, and contractors.
- Regularly report top management on the state of the project, including any problems or setbacks.
Safety Management
- Put safety procedures into place and implement them to give all site workers a safe working environment.
- Regularly conduct risk assessments and safety briefings.
Resource Management
- Oversee the distribution and acquisition of the supplies, machinery, and tools needed for the project.
- Keep an eye on and manage project budgets to guarantee cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Electrical engineering bachelor's degree
- Five years minimum of experience in a similar sector, such as shipbuilding or maritime construction
- Proficiency in electrical systems and principles of marine engineering.
- Outstanding project management abilities and a track record of overseeing complex construction projects.
- Excellent team management and leadership skills.
- Superb interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Expertise in using project management tools and software.
