Job Description:
- Responsible for processing client inquiries via email and phone calls, as well as liaising with customers on service inquiries.
- Customers must be contacted and provided with information in response to requests about accounts, products, and services.
- Able to generate sales from consumer inquiries.
- Liaise with consumers regarding fulfilment issues.
- Handling and resolving consumer billing or service issues.
- Answer consumers' inquiries about the services or products, as well as the organization's maintenance or operation.
- Must ensure effective customer service by coordinating the customer's service requirements with other relevant departments as needed.
- Proper planning for allocating service engineers to assigned jobs, as well as accurate records and timely mode.
- Handling Purchasing items based on consumer requests and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ensure that allocated vessels are continually monitored.
Taking extreme precautions while assigning engineers to execute jobs. - Customer approval is always required for spares used by engineers onboard.
- Take responsibility for completing work once engineers have submitted reports.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of a diploma in electronics and electrical.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the marine industry.
- After two years of service, an existing Service Engineer will be promoted to Service Coordinator through an internal promotion process.
- Leadership skills in allocating Service Engineers for given jobs.
- The ability to express intense emotions in striking and suitable language, whether spoken or written, resulting in conviction or persuade.
