Marine Superintendent (Bulk)
About the job Marine Superintendent (Bulk)
- Accountable for the personnel, cargo, and vessel's safety while under his command.
- Make that the KLQSMS is followed on board the vessel.
- Teach ships how to handle and move cargo safely, taking into account the needs of the charterer, the port, and the terminal.
- Verify the fleet's emergency response readiness.
- Communicate with vessels as needed in KLQSMS-Z-03 crises. Procedures for Company Emergency Response.
- In close cooperation with the local manning offices and the crewing group, support crew manning and management.
- To guarantee that the ships are manned by crew members who comply with the matrix, as mandated by industry and trade regulations.
- Encourage seafarers' education and training.
- Communicate with the ship's TSI to ensure that environmental regulations pertaining to vessel operation are followed.
- Regularly check vessels and publish reports on those inspections.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months experience as Master or experience for more than 3 years as Senior deck officer
- Valid deck COC holder.
- Knowledge of ISM, MLC 2006, STCW 95, SOLAS 74, MARPOL, PMS
- Knowledge of cargo containment system, cargo handling equipment and systems on board assigned vessels.
- Good knowledge about Bulk management and cargo operations
- Good knowledge about cryogenic cargo and related marine machineries.
- Good knowledge about industry BWMS, CII and EEXI requirements
- A desire to drive continuous improvement in self and with others.
- Analytical, problem solving, time management, project management and decision-making skills.
- Ability to respond positively to Company management in an effective manner.
- Demonstrates teamwork, interpersonal and communications skills.
