About the job Bunker Trader
Responsibilities:
- Have a current clientele and create and carry out marketing initiatives to attract new clients and maintain current clientele.
- Stay up to date with changes in the global oil and energy markets, perform market research and analysis, and keep an eye on bunker supply and demand to spot commercial possibilities.
- Be well-versed in the international bunker industry, including ports, suppliers, owners, charterers, and regulations.
- An understanding of the marine transportation business, the oil market, and pricing methods for marine fuel
- Create persuasive marketing collateral to highlight your value proposition and services to both current and potential clients.
- Manage customer portfolio with direct responsibility for negotiating and executing sales transactions -- from quoting, negotiating, confirming, delivery, and post-delivery service and support
- Monitor customer utilization of company credit lines, payment performance, and assist with collections if necessary
- Manage any disputes or claims resolution in the event of any disagreements/claims
- Assist with development of junior staff and trainees
- Closely follow the companies group policies and procedures
Requirements:
- A degree in business or marketing, or a comparable professional qualification
- At least two years in a comparable sales or marketing role
- Experience in the oil and gas sector will be advantageous for candidates.
- Strong persuasive abilities, both written and verbal; have the capacity to articulate concepts clearly
- Excellent Critical Thinking
- Strong interpersonal communication abilities
- Have outstanding follow-up abilities and strong organisational skills.
- Skilled with Microsoft Office
- Fluent in Mandarin and English; knowledge of other languages would be advantageous.
