About the job Technical Superintendent (RoRo)
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and systematically organize routine reports from assigned vessels.
- Analyze and follow up on regular reports received from the vessels.
- Conduct ongoing data analysis of costs, planned maintenance systems (PMS), and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the vessel's management status.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of data entered into the Ship Manager system by onboard crew (GL system).
- Develop a dynamic work plan in collaboration with the vessel's command, ensuring maintenance aligns with the Owner's policy while monitoring and receiving updates on progress.
- Perform vessel visits as needed to assess general condition, repairs, crew performance, safety standards, environmental protection measures, and necessary actions. Discuss relevant issues such as work plans, operational costs, spares, and stores with the ship's command, providing reports on findings.
- Prepare technical specifications for dockings and pre-purchase inspections in the Asia region.
- Assist in conducting technical analyses for potential new vessel purchases.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, specifically with RoRo vessels.
- Previous experience as a Chief Engineer or Second Engineer, ideally with sailing experience on RoRo vessels; sailing experience on RoRo vessels is essential.
- Experience with dry docking and technical management is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of planned maintenance systems (PMS) and safety management systems (SMS) is required.
