Job Description:
Technical Management with 2 Direct Reports
- Complete technical oversight, including drydocking, of four multifunctional heavy lift boats.
- Thorough and organised examination of the Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Reports to guarantee safe vessel operation and risk identification.
- Management of "Defect Lists" in line with "Requisition Trackers" to fully control the state of the vessel (engine and deck), including reporting new issues and fixing those that already exist.
- Comprehensive management of the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) on board the vessel to ensure compliance with PMS schedules, verify the legitimacy of tasks accomplished, and maintain comprehensive control over the state of the deck and engine.
- Keeping track of all Shore Service Reports for services rendered on vessels and managing shore-based obligations in compliance with "Defect Lists"
- Conduct vessel inspections to verify Defect List correctness and report new defects, as well as the quality of closed defects, IMS, PMS, upkeep of accommodations, HSE, and SMS.
- Conduct technical assessments and interviews with every engineer in the fleet to guarantee appropriate calibre and expertise.
- Conduct briefings for visiting sea staff to make sure they are informed about corporate policies, current projects, and fleet-related mishaps and lessons learned. Throughout all interactions with the vessel, evaluate the sea workers and provide input to the crewing department.
- For the smooth operation of the vessels, coordinate with the departments of HSE, crewing, and accounts.

One direct report (Purchaser) under Procurement:
- Inventory Management System (IMS) management is done by Purchasers and Technical Superintendents. The system is kept up to date for supply and consumption of pertinent items and makes sure that all obsolete stores, deck materials, and spare parts are disposed of according to disposal regulations, keeping vessels free of obsolete items.
- Oversight of the daily procurement-related tasks for the designated vessel and guarantee that they are completed within the budget allotted.
- Management, supplier sourcing, and RFQ issuance in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Make sure you source, choose, and bargain with suppliers to get the greatest possible buy package that includes the finest terms, prices, delivery, and services.
- Make sure the buyer and suppliers work together to guarantee the timely delivery of goods to the vessels.
- Assure that the purchaser updates and maintains the requisition tracker on a daily basis.
- Make sure the buyer processes the invoices in the system and, if required, follows up with the accounts to guarantee timely payment in compliance with the protocols.
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years of shoreside Fleet Manager experience.
- Preference should be given to experience with heavy lift vessels with four-stroke main engines.
- Three years or more of experience at sea as a chief engineer on foreign-going vessels
- Diligent, independent, self-starting, and goal-oriented person.
- Adept with Microsoft Office programmes and knowledgeable about computers in general
- Outstanding writing and verbal communication abilities
- Meticulous, systematic, well-organized, and detail-oriented.
