Accountant (Shipping)

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain balance sheet, P&L sheets
• Update the MIS on daily basis
• Responsible for cash flow, bank reconciliations
• Prepare and generate related invoices and credit notes timely
• Monitor and collect accounts receivable and payments and maintain billing system
• Appreciate, understand, and execute the entire chain of account end to end (i.e. from shippers invoicing/payment to customer invoicing/payments till Audit)
• Liaise with insurance agencies for marine/cargo insurance.
• Establish relationship with overseas team members / Bankers & traders.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Accounts / Maritime / International Business or International Trade
• Minimum 3 years experience in similar capacity
• Accounting knowledge in maritime industry preferred
• Ability to multi-task and adhere to tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player with ability to work independently and well-organised
• An eye for detail, an inquisitive mind & a flexible approach
