About the job Warehouse Assistant (Ship Supplies)
Responsibilities:
- Input of each pre-alert that was received. (Mawb, BL, Courier waybills, and D.O. care-off parties) into the LMS software and Excel list.
- Create labels for every shipment.
- Entering all shipments that have been received (updating the Excel spreadsheet and LMS software).
- Putting all paperwork in the appropriate vessel file.
- Verifying and organising the upcoming day's supplies to the ship.
- Make a packing list before you pack.
- For deliveries the following day, get ready by printing the delivery note.
- Get the landing permit ready for the boarding officer.
- Packing and checking (aided by warehouse personnel)
- Make sure that every package is marked and has a photo taken for documentation.
- Updating the warehouse loading sheet with the location details.
- After packing, make sure everything is kept safe and tidy.
- Communicate with every Care-Off party present at the barge terminal. (Loading Information) remove
- Turn over delivery files to operations by 1630 hours on the next day (daily)
- Help the logistics manager with any shipments that are leaving.
- Assemble and send shipments using courier services.
- Daily Portnet vessel schedule update.
- Print GST Permits and send them to the accounting department.
- Advice on Shipping for Every Export Shipment
- Sorting D.O. and managing the C/O party's petty cash collection
- Making and getting calls from parties that are cared for (24 hours)
- Include billing and filing
Requirements:
- N level / ITC certification minimum
- Two years at least of experience in logistics administration
- Advantages of Being a Certified Customs Declarant
- Strong communication and organising abilities
- Proficiency in writing and speaking English
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Capable of multitasking and working under pressure in a hectic setting
