Job Description:

  • Drive organic business growth, by generating revenue from new and existing customers and markets. Own and manage all direct sales channels and the bid activity required to serve those channels.
  • Provide deep customer insights back into the Product team, ensuring that the company deeply understand customer needs.
  • Contacts assigned/agreed customers or prospects to sell company products within a designated geography or market sector. Focuses on meeting personal sales targets, new business development, maintaining customer relationships and troubleshooting specific customer problems.
  • Develops a sales plan to deliver revenue retention, revenue growth and new business for personal customer portfolio or sector, to meet or exceed personal sales targets and drive overall organic business growth ambition.
  • Creates a sales plan to reach or surpass personal sales goals and further the aspiration for overall organic business growth. The plan should address revenue retention, revenue growth, and new business for the individual client portfolio or industry.
  • Creates and executes client relationship management strategies to locate and establish connections with pertinent decision-makers and influencers within own customer portfolio organisations; facilitates efficient information exchange in both directions and expands knowledge of areas in which the company can provide value to customers and address problems.
  • Establishes specific goals for every sales call or meeting; customises pre-made materials to create captivating presentations for decision-makers and influencers in the customer base; asks pertinent questions to elicit information, gauge the level of interest from the audience, and pinpoint and address areas that need more details or clarification.
  • Builds a personal network within the business community and speaks on behalf of the company to clients and at industry gatherings. Obtains market intelligence and improves company's visibility, reputation, and capacity to offer comprehensive safety solutions.
  • With input from pertinent internal specialists, configures product and service solutions and related contractual terms to fulfil the mid- to long-term demands of the clients. presents the solution to customer representatives and, within a certain set of commercial parameters, negotiates an agreement.
  • Works in cross-functional teams as the customer champion and collaborates internally to develop solid relationships with external customers.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years of professional experience in marine sales or related industries is required for a diploma or degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Deep familiarity and connections in the maritime industry.
  • Technical product expertise, direct sales experience, and/or sales process support.
  • Establishes trusting bonds with clients and provides solutions that are focused on them.
  • Interprets complicated, copious, and occasionally contradicting data to solve issues in an efficient manner.
  • Has open and comfortable relationships with a wide range of individuals.
  • Easily navigates intricate policy, procedural, and interpersonal organisational dynamics.
  • Acquires the trust and confidence of others by being genuine, honest, and moral.
  • Arranges and sets priorities for tasks in accordance with company's business objectives.
  • Successfully creates networks of formal and informal relationships both within and outside the company.
