Technical Duties:

  • Identify and resolve issues with marine engines, auxiliary engines, steering systems, and related components.
  • Conduct repairs on inboard and outboard engines, addressing fuel, cooling, and exhaust systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure all shipboard systems operate effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the ship and engine room during onboard periods.
  • Prepare detailed reports on completed work and explain repairs and services to customers.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to promote a safe work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations for marine service and repairs.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Keep accurate records of services provided, including time, parts used, and labor.
  • Utilize service management software to track repairs and maintenance tasks.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with technicians and service team members to optimize workflow and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Support the training and development of junior technicians as needed.
  • Perform any other assigned duties.


Requirements:

  • Diploma or or associate degree in marine mechanics or related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in marine service and repair.
