About the job Marine Service Engineer (Electrical)
Technical Duties:
- Identify and resolve issues with marine engines, auxiliary engines, steering systems, and related components.
- Conduct repairs on inboard and outboard engines, addressing fuel, cooling, and exhaust systems.
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure all shipboard systems operate effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness in the ship and engine room during onboard periods.
- Prepare detailed reports on completed work and explain repairs and services to customers.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to promote a safe work environment.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations for marine service and repairs.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Keep accurate records of services provided, including time, parts used, and labor.
- Utilize service management software to track repairs and maintenance tasks.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with technicians and service team members to optimize workflow and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Support the training and development of junior technicians as needed.
- Perform any other assigned duties.
Requirements:
- Diploma or or associate degree in marine mechanics or related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in marine service and repair.
