About the job Marine Manager (Ship Management)
The Managing Director is the person that the Marine Manager reports to and oversees the Marine Division. The MM's obligations and roles comprise, but are not restricted to the as follows:
- Keeps an eye on safe procedures for operating ships and in the workplace;
- Makes certain that ships abide by the laws and regulations that are required.

- Interviewing and hiring qualified staff to work on ships or on land.
- Informs chief engineers and masters about the requirements, upkeep, and application of the SMS;
- Keeps an eye on and evaluates crew members' work, making recommendations as needed;
- Makes certain that ships are suitably manned, equipped, and informed for the kinds of operations and trips they are used for;
- Plan and oversee the Oil Major/Terminal Inspection as well as interior vessel inspection.
- Organising and assisting with ship inspections;
- Helps the medical director create the "casualty contingency plans."
- Communicate with major oil corporations and third parties about any shipping-related issues.
- Assigning and transferring responsibilities to those who directly report to him.

- The company's designated person (DP) is the marine manager.
Requirements:
- Possessing a Master Mariner Class 1 or Class 2 COC, or something like;
- Three years of experience as a port captain or marine superintendent, or at least one year as a manager
- Understanding the TMSA, ISPS, and ISM Code is essential.
- Familiarity with class societies, statutory requirements, and oil majors.
- Oil/chemical tanker experience at sea or a comparable amount of shore-based training is recommended.
- Dynamic and capable of working unsupervised for extended periods of time.
- Able to work erratic hours and make last-minute trips
