Job Description:
- Manage import and export shipments from within and to other countries, including the creation of paperwork such as the Airway Bill, Cargo Insurance, Bill of Landing, and Certificate of Origin.
- Work with carriers, customs brokers, and others to negotiate, administer, and monitor service agreements and providers of transport services.
- Oversaw the complete logistics process, which included receiving, shipping, and distribution to make sure prompt delivery that pleases the consumer.
- Help with inventory control, guaranteeing operational and financial stock accuracy.
- Respond to inquiries from customs on tariffs, duty exceptions, etc.
- Work with carriers, customs brokers, and others to negotiate, administer, and monitor service agreements and providers of transport services
- Analyses alternative transit options and programmes, including estimated costs significant enhancements to the services.
- When required, offer operational support by handling a variety of stock receiving and storage tasks.
- Choosing, packing, loading, and shipping tasks to satisfy the demands of the warehouse burden, employing suitable procedures and techniques.
- Help resolve any disputes or inconsistencies in line with internal procedures.
- Fosters comprehension of packaging requirements and generates concepts for ongoing enhancements.
- Any additional work or tasks that are occasionally assigned
Requirements:
- A minimum of a diploma in any field and two years of experience in logistics, particularly in final-mile delivery (planning, coordinating, and dispatching)
- Having experience with the logistics of handling dangerous goods (DG) (IATA DGR and/or IMDG) will have added benefit.
- Computer savvy and exhibit proof of mastery in the use of Microsoft Office programmes (Outlook, Word and Excel).
- Strong interpersonal abilities and a track record of contributing to a team.
- Strong English writing and speaking abilities.
- Working knowledge of at least one of the following enterprise resource planning (ERP) programmes, including SAP: Sage, IFS, and Oracle Netsuite will all have extra benefits.
- Proficiency with tools and techniques for continuous development.
