About the job:
- Working as an implant at the client's location to assist with shipping and logistics
- Forecasting and planning shipments using the materials expedite report
- Work with the client's suppliers to arrange for the pickup of the cargo and to find an appropriate sailing for the consignment.
- Check in with foreign offices regarding freight costs, reservations, and shipment progress.
- To find out freight quotes from carriers and manage carrier reservations
- Shipment activation, shipping documentation preparation, and UDR assignment
- Getting import and export licenses ready for customs reports
- Track the status of shipments every day and notify the appropriate parties on a regular basis.
- Attend the shipping status conference with the client and give updates.
- Timely preparation of the quotation and invoices for the customer
- Coordinate the preparation and filing of tenders with the local and international offices.
- Creation of monthly reports, P&L for each shipment, and internal project expenses
- There may be a need for both domestic and international travel.
Requirements:
- A minimum of two to three years' experience handling international freight
- Firsthand knowledge of oil and gas industry work. Preferred is prior experience with FPSO goods forwarding projects.
- Ability to function well under time constraints and in a dynamic work environment
- Stress management skills and the willingness to work after office hours
- Capacity to speak for the business and cultivate a solid rapport with stakeholders
- Strong ability to communicate in both Chinese and English
- Physically able to travel both domestically and internationally
