Responsibilities:
- Visit existing customers, develop new customer base with marine and offshore industries.
- Weekly visit report to be submitted.
- Sell diesel engine spare parts.
- Secure enquiries /orders to meet the sales targets.
- Follow up on the orders till delivery completion.
- Prepare quotations and tenders.
- Review quotations, tenders and cost estimates.
- Strategize to ensure bids/enquiries are comprehensively estimated/quoted and submitted as per clients tender/enquiry requirements.
- Identify, assess and manage risks relating to the contracts/orders.
- Deal with diesel engine makers, OEM manufacturer and suppliers, principals, second hand engine parts markets and evaluation of its prices. Perform price comparison to achieve the most competitive prices.
- Handle projected principal sales.
- Maintain a high standard level of customer services and good customer relation.
- Responsible for maximizing the profit margin and meeting sales targets.
- Be updated on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments.
- Take responsibility in the customer / sales team environment for discussions on technical solutions proposed by Company in a manner that gains credibility with its clients.
- Work closely with sales teams to develop effective working relationships and understand sales strategy and approach to accounts and opportunities
- Provide accurate account information / reports on a regular basis.
- Assist in the development of the organization and Sales teams through sharing specialist skills and knowledge via training and coaching as required
- Plan, coordinate and participate in exhibitions / tradeshows
- Perform market research surveys amongst client base to seek feedback on sales and service techniques, follow-up methods and quality of after sales service.
- Responsible for monthly business development reports, cross diversification business reports.
- Assist in developing budget, business developments, objectives for annual operating plan and execute to achieve the objectives set.
- Take lead of trading team and signatory right in the absence of manager
- To meet EHS requirement for all concerned parties
- Any other tasks as and when assigned by superior.
Requirements:
- At least Diploma in Engineering
- At least 2 years working experience in Marine or Offshore / Oil & Gas Industry
- Good product and market knowledge
- Good selling / marketing skills
- Willing to travel overseas when required
- Competent in Microsoft Office
