What You'll Do:
As the Technical Services Manager, you won't just manage technology you'll shape its impact on education. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of IT technicians within the schools, fostering growth and excellence.
- Network Mastery: Build and maintain a secure, robust, and scalable network that ensures smooth operations.
- Architect of Innovation: Develop the IT architecture, including networks, servers, applications, and management tools, to optimize technology investments and resource utilization.
- Strategic Insight: Collaborate with the Director of IT to identify and recommend asset replacements while keeping the institution's best interests in mind.
- Policy Advocate: Ensure hardware, software, IT services, and equipment align with company policies and vision.
- Operational Continuity: Establish and test backup and disaster recovery procedures to maintain operational integrity.
- Problem Solver: Be the go-to person for network-related issues, working with stakeholders for effective resolutions.
What You'll Bring:
- Microsoft Proficiency: You're well-versed in Microsoft OS and can configure and deploy desktop systems using Active Directory and Office 365.
- Tech Diversity: You're comfortable with Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Powershell, Microsoft SQL Server, VMWare, and Veeam.
- Hands-on Expertise: You've worked with hardware and software in network and standalone settings, ensuring seamless operations.
- System Mastery: You're experienced in delivering complex systems and networks that drive success.
- Risk Management: You're skilled in mitigating risks to maintain stability.
- Sector Knowledge: You've excelled in a similar role within the education or charity sector, understanding its unique dynamics.
