We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our telecommunications company in Lewes. With over 400 employees globally and a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for the design, test and implementation of projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions. Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and implement networking solutions for telecommunications projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry best practices.
- A mixture of layer 2 and layer 3 networking knowledge, including multicast.
- Ensure a smooth and efficient CI/CD process and customer project delivery.
- Assembly of and configurating their Control System products, including all interfaces to third-party systems, with a decisive approach to system configuration, backup, and restoration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, project management, and technical support, to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Configuration of IP Public Address and Voice Alarm systems to interface with Control Systems.
- Troubleshoot & maintain knowledgebase for Control System products.
- Produce project-specific user reference documentation, maintenance manuals and deployment guides.
- Provide technical assistance to customers during project implementation, including training and knowledge transfer.
- Adhere to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards, and escalate issues as needed to ensure project success.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in either Computer Science or Electronic Engineering would be advantageous.
- Fully understanding of the CI/CD Process.
- Debian or Ubuntu based Linux system administration.
- Knowledge of Python or Bash.
- PowerShell Scripting knowledge.
- Ansible, Docker, Lokki or Grafana an advantage or evidence of other configuration management and observability tools.
- Experience with C++ would be an advantage.
