Principal Platform Engineer - Kubernetes, Storage Platforms, VMWare

My client, a leading sporting institution, and household name are seeking and experienced, senior level Platform Engineer to Lead a team of engineers, advice best-practice technical experience, and instil the highest standards to deliver DevOps methodologies.

The Role:

• Implementing infrastructure platforms across all technology stacks to provide secure,
  reliable, high performing and scalable services
• Providing monitoring and observability to ensure optimal performance
• Supporting technology platforms for break/fix incidents
• Advocating the use of modern tools and practices to provide automated provisioning
  and configuration management
• CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code

Candidates Must Have the Following Skills / Experience:

• Highly detailed knowledge and experience of VMware, Kubernetes, storage
  platforms, and associated underlying infrastructure hardware and provision.
• Exceptional Linix skills
• Microsoft skills including AD
• Experience of Cloud (Azure) and hybrid-based alternatives to on-premises infrastructure
• Experience of providing infrastructure for large Enterprise applications such as PLM or
  ERP platforms.
• Some people management experience
