Technical Communications Engineer
Contract Length: 12 Months - Excellent Rate
Location: Central London 5 days per week.

We are recruiting for a Technical Communications Engineer within our client's busy, fast paced, highly motivated IT and Telecoms team. This will be interesting and ever-changing work, you'll be working in an environment that is fast paced, where you will setup and support non-secure and secure comms, fixed line telephony, video conferencing and mobile services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serving as the team's expert on VOIP technologies.
- Collaborating with national and international partners to develop and maintain systems, establish testing schedules, and ensure relevant and proper completion of testing.
- Documenting the design, installation, and configuration of secure systems and infrastructure.
- Driving continual service improvement by exploring new technologies, identifying gaps in existing services, and devising strategies to address them, contributing to the roadmap.
- Setting up and testing secure voice systems ensuring we maintain good security practices and work within guidelines.
ACTIVE DV CLEARANCE IS ESSENTIAL
Skills:
- Proficient understanding of Government secure communications, encompassing the use of Government crypto.
- Exceptional working and technical expertise in IP phone systems and technologies, including their security and administration.
- Exceptional working and technical proficiency in video conferencing technologies, along with a deep understanding of best practices, including Codec configuration.
- Knowledgeable about WAN and LAN technologies and physical infrastructure, including basic configuration.
- Strong understanding of technical security principles.
