Job Description:

This role includes hands-on design, development and implementation of distribution systems solutions with the following technologies:

  • In-depth knowledge and ability with C#., .NET, Web Services and related database technologies. 
  • The ability to read, perform minor enhancements or port ANSI/GNU C, PRO*C, UNIX Shell Scripting.
  • The role includes functional delivery (either directly with hands-on involvement or managing the delivery through a third party service provider/contractors) as well acting as part of the larger distribution IT team. 
  • Extensive experience (3-5 years) implementing solutions with the above technologies.
  • Extensive experience supporting or implementing distribution (WMS/TMS) systems is preferred with at least 2+ years of hands on configuration/development, implementation and support experience. 
  • Should have extensive experience in working with the business to understand the requirements, help them translate their needs into a Business Requirement Document and author a BRD, assist in creating test cases and helping them with validation. 
  • Also, for larger initiatives, should be capable to mentor team members and business partners, as well as work with the business to create a business case/benefits case for such projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new or enhance existing WMS and Distribution capabilities May review and or develops test cases and participates (validating test cases) during testing.
  • Develop or contribute to BRD, assisting the business with benefits case for larger projects.
  • Analyzing functionality gaps and developing alternatives. 
  • Configuration, Unit and Integration testing or reviewing the work done by the service providers to ensure quality.
  • Contribute to the preparation of functional specifications or review of vendor prepared specifications for quality, accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordination with Super users in resolving the issues that arises during user training.
  • Offer assistance to production support team in case any L3 or L4 support is required. 
  • Provide effective scope and issue management.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues and solution alternatives to users.
  • Exceptional Communication skills, written and verbal.
