Conveyancer Melbourne based.

We have teamed up with a highly regarded law firm who is seeking a skilled and experienced Conveyancer to join their growing Property Law team in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conveyancing, within a law firm environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a diverse caseload of conveyancing matters from inception to settlement, including residential, commercial, and off-the-plan sales and purchases.
  • Preparing and reviewing contracts of sale, and other legal documents.
  • Liaising with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved in the conveyancing process.
  • Conducting title searches and preparing transfer documents.
  • Calculating and processing stamp duty and other government charges.
  • Handling settlements and post-settlement matters.
  • Staying up-to-date with relevant legislation and industry best practices.

Skills and Experience:

  • Between 1-5 years experience in conveyancing, preferably within a law firm.
  • Strong understanding of Victorian property law and conveyancing procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in PEXA and other conveyancing software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
