Conveyancer Melbourne based.
We have teamed up with a highly regarded law firm who is seeking a skilled and experienced Conveyancer to join their growing Property Law team in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conveyancing, within a law firm environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a diverse caseload of conveyancing matters from inception to settlement, including residential, commercial, and off-the-plan sales and purchases.
- Preparing and reviewing contracts of sale, and other legal documents.
- Liaising with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved in the conveyancing process.
- Conducting title searches and preparing transfer documents.
- Calculating and processing stamp duty and other government charges.
- Handling settlements and post-settlement matters.
- Staying up-to-date with relevant legislation and industry best practices.
Skills and Experience:
- Between 1-5 years experience in conveyancing, preferably within a law firm.
- Strong understanding of Victorian property law and conveyancing procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in PEXA and other conveyancing software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
