Job Role

Work as part of the stores' team, supporting production with material replenishment, ensuring that all goods are booked in and organised correctly.

Responsibilities

  • Replenishment of all production bins promptly, always following the FIFO guidelines.
  • Refilling Kanban trolleys at the beginning of each day.
  • Clearing of metalwork trolleys and booking into stock.
  • Kitting of jobs, three days in advance. With any shortages reported to the STS department.
  • Kitting of customer orders and delivering them to the warehouse.
  • Accept deliveries from suppliers, checking that everything on the PO matches the delivery.
  • Pack the stores shelves with newly delivered stock, ensuring everything is placed in FIFO order.
  • Issue all consignment stock in line with the purchase departments request.
  • Scrapping stock from production, helping the STS with redundant stock.
  • Help the purchasing department and STS with stock checks and discrepancies.
  • Unloading vans with the forklift when needed.
  • Ensure stores is kept clean and tidy.
  • Maintain the stores mailbox, ensuring all queries are dealt with promptly.
  • Record any component issues on the part problems spreadsheet.
  • Follow the health & safety requirements of the business, outlined by your supervisor.
  • Complete cyclical stock checks throughout the year working towards the total count at the EOY.
  • Any other duties as and when required by the supervisor to assist with day-to-day duties of the Department and the Company

Skills

  • Positive and can-do attitude.
  • Attention for detail and organisational skills is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions well.
  • The role does involve manual handling.
  • Forklift/lift truck licence is Desirable but not essential.

Job Specifics

  • Working hours Mon Thurs 8.00am 4.30pm Friday 8.00am 3.30pm with 30 minutes for lunch

The hourly rate will start at £10.80.
