About the Role
We are momentarily hiring a professional Architectural Technician/Technologist to join the team of a leading residential projects studio based near Southampton. With over 50 years producing some of the UKs finest residential developments and mixed-use communities, our client prides itself on bringing together a strong and enthusiastic team of professionals. This role demands confidence across all aspects of technical design and masterplanning. To become a key member of this bustling, proactive studio, you must feel confident in the responsibility to produce 3D visual designs and expected to punctually meet deadlines, whilst happily working as part of a team of technicians. A strong applicant will Take on increasing responsibilities in design and project processes over time, with opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
Key Responsibilities
Produce high-quality technical drawings for residential projects.
Interpret client briefs to create working drawings and technical documents.
Contribute to design and development of various housing projects, spanning masterplanning to detailed design.
Collaborate closely with the architects and design team to craft innovative and sustainable housing developments.
Provide input across different stages of the design process, from feasibility layouts to planning applications.
Assist in preparing comprehensive planning application packs, including drawings, 3D visualisations, and graphic outputs.
Work alongside project leaders to ensure accuracy and completeness of planning documentation.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum 3 years of technical experience required.
Enthusiasm for residential design and urban planning.
Prior experience with residential or mixed-use projects preferred.
Possession of a HND or similar degree in architectural design.
Competency with AutoCAD/REVIT software.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Sketch-Up.
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
Meticulous attention to detail and adeptness at multitasking.
Motivated to advance professionally and participate in CPD activities
