Join a leading architectural planning practice dedicated to redefining the environment, our industry leading client is currently hiring for a seasoned Senior Architect to join their talent rich team and friendly studio. Looking to expand their eductions project department, specialists in that field, the core ethos of this company is to prioritise the well-being of the inhabitants and the spaces that they create. With a large reputation in the industry for the design of primary, secondary, further and higher education facilities, our client is momentarily hiring an avid Senior Architect with experience to design and deliver projects across the education sectors. All projects are committed to sustainable placemaking and innovative design solutions. Their bespoke projects embody aspirational design, to deliver architecture that enhances quality of life and wellbeing. As an experienced Senior Architect you will lead on design, management and collaboration with the wider design and technical team members, alongside external parties including clients and contractors. A confident, decisive manner is essential to allow programme milestones to be met, in addition to strong communication skills, proven project running experience and design excellence - second to none. Key Responsibilities
- Work within a collaborative team across all RIBA stages specifically within the education sectors.
Ensuring that design standards are met and managed with excellence.
Attend design team meetings, and showcase leadership across internal teams.
Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities and contractors on projects.
Lead a team on design and technical details when needed.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Five to ten years' post qualification experience, with a proven ability to design in accordance with statutory design requirements.
- Experience in the design and delivery of further education and higher education facilities.
Strong knowledge of DFE working practices and the contractors framework.
- Strong knowledge of universities working practices, particularly within frameworks.
Experience in primary and secondary school design is helpful, but not essential.
Proven strong portfolio of work.
Excellent Revit and AutoCAD skills.
Client facing and confident to take a lead role in meetings and presentations.
Ability to manage education projects through all RIBA stages.
Ability to lead a project team.
Proven project running experience.
