Estimator - New Opening!

Our client is currently in the market for a skilled Estimator. The Estimator will lead estimates for civil engineering works, developing customer solutions, and secure projects to meet the company's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop estimates in accordance with company procedures.
- Identify opportunities and risks during the tender process.
- Work with the business unit, Bid Manager, and Planner to agree on methodology and principles.
- Provide indicative pricing support for business development.
- Present estimates, prepare adjudication packs and close out actions

Key Measures & Targets:
- Win projects to meet company objectives.
- Develop consistent tender submissions with clear key estimating assumptions.
- Create effective tender win strategies with business unit teams.
- Provide temporary works support for tenders and design elements of design and construct tenders.

Essential:
- Engineering or commercial background.
- Experience in water, construction, rail, and general steelwork.
- Proven track record with tenders up to £2-3m.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Chartered, incorporated status, or similar.
- Confident in dealing with customers and senior personnel.
- Ability to ensure tender submissions are feasible and profitable.

Desirable:
Knowledge of waste, rail, or tunnelling sectors.
