About The Role:

They are currently seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineer to join their talented team of engineers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a variety of structural engineering projects and have experience handling complex structural designs from start to finish.
Working with a high-performing team, you will engage in diverse and challenging projects, including bespoke new builds, heritage works and refurbishments. With a value of sustainable engineering design, they are looking for an engineer who aspires to excel in technical design.

What You'll Need:

- 4+ years post qualification Civil and Structural engineering experience
- Chartered or near-chartered status with a relevant body
- 2:1 BSc/BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent - Minimum
- Full UK driving license + own transport

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for producing preliminary design solutions and reviewing them with clients as part of the design strategy. You will create detailed designs, calculations, specifications, and conduct technical reviews. Your duties include attending design, project progress, and client engagement meetings, as well as liaising with contractors, clients, third-party organizations, and stakeholders to answer queries related to technical detailing.

You will perform structural appraisals of commercial, industrial, and residential structures, manage project costs and schedules. Your tasks also involve designing in various construction forms, including steelwork, masonry, and timber.

In addition to these, you will assist with supervising CAD/Revit technicians and junior engineers and be familiar with BREEAM, sustainability objectives, and embodied carbon.
