Our client, an award winning Cambridgeshire practice, one which specialises in the high-end private residential sector, extensively on contemporary and conservation projects throughout the UK.

As an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist you will provide leadership and support to the design team, overseeing the technical work involved from planning stages through to new build delivery and also refurbishments. As a vital member of the design team, the successful candidate should hit the ground running, showcasing extensive knowledge and experience in crucial aspects of the design process, such as project inception, planning, and contract management, ensuring a high standard of work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure any project challenges met are overcome with effective and pragmatic design solutions which are to be executed alongside your team with exceptional management skills.

  • Produce accurate and detailed construction drawings to current Building Regulations standard.

  • Advance details through the approval process.

  • Create detailed work instructions, technical material specifications and schedules of work.

  • Record and manage drawing registers.

  • Liaise with installation teams, sub-contract suppliers, clients and suppliers.


About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Capacity to contribute to the practices portfolio as a whole.

  • Maintain appropriate effective work behaviour in the face of setbacks or pressure.

  • Relevant qualification in HNC, HND or degree in Architectural Technology.

  • 5+ years within the industry.

  • Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations & Standards in the house building sector.

  • On site experience.

  • Computer literate essential experience of AutoCAD(2D) 2011 onwards.

  • Knowledge of Sketchup would be an advantage.

  • The ability to work with minimal supervision on construction drawings/building regulations requirements.

  • Good communication skills and knowledge of products.

  • High level of accuracy and administrative efficiency.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office.

  • A positive attitude and good sense of humour.

  • Driving licence and transport essential.
