Role Overview

As a Data Analyst Lead, you will lead some of our data teams projects, ensuring seamless integration of analysis, automation, and development. This role will focus on orchestrating data processes, leading the development of advanced tools, and managing Agile workflows while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, project leadership, and an innate curiosity to drive impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Development Project Management and Database Leadership

Oversee the entire data development lifecycle, including project planning, execution,

deployment, and maintenance

Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex data pipelines using Python, and Databases (Postgres)

Implement robust database structures, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and efficient

retrieval

Manage CI/CD pipelines and enforce QA standards, including test coverage and release

notes

Guide Agile practices, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and iteration management for data development projects

Define clear roadmaps and delegate development tasks effectively, balancing competing priorities for both data pipelines and automation tools

Act as the primary point of contact for project timelines, scope, and deliverables related to data development

2. Tool Development and Automation

Design and implement automation tools and scripts to streamline data processes and

improve efficiency

Utilize frameworks like Selenium, Databases (Postgres) for data extraction,

transformation, and loading (ETL) automation

Ensure all tools are developed and documented within AWS or other centralized

platforms

3. Data Analysis and Insights Development

Collaborate with analysts to generate actionable insights from complex datasets

Oversee data workflows to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of insights

Ensure proper data definition and governance practices, minimizing errors and

maximizing output quality

4. Collaboration and Mentorship

Work closely with developers and data analysts, fostering a culture of knowledge

sharing

Coach team members in best practices for analysis, tool usage, and documentation

Ensure alignment between business needs, technical possibilities, and user

requirements

5. Overseeing UX/UI and Full-Stack Development

Lead the building of a user-friendly web app that will drive insights and data to our

internal team and clients

Guide design discussions around user experience, accessibility, and usability

improvements

QA/QC test and logs of the development tools created by the development team

Qualifications:

  • Data Analysis and Automation: Python, Databases (Postgres), Selenium, Power BI, Looker.

  • Front-End Development: HTML, CSS,
    • Nice-to-haves: JavaScript (React, Angular), Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, and responsive design.

  • Project Management: Agile and Lean methodologies, Jira for task tracking, Git for version control.

  • General Skills: CI/CD pipeline experience, semantic versioning, release management, and accessibility standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AWS and Windows Server environments

  • Certifications in Agile (Scrum Master, SAFe) or Lean principles

  • Familiarity with WCAG standards for accessibility and user-centered design techniques

  • Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools and UX analytics platforms
