Responsibilities:
Carry out routine repairs and preventive maintenance across key hotel systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from different departments, including guest rooms, common areas, housekeeping, and front desk.
Identify and resolve maintenance issues efficiently, always with a sense of urgency and a strong focus on the guest experience.
Ensure guest rooms and public areas are maintained in excellent condition, contributing to guest comfort and satisfaction.
Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and other hotel teams to coordinate maintenance activities without disrupting daily operations.
Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and equipment to identify areas requiring attention or improvement.
Support longer-term hotel projects, such as room renovations, system upgrades, and sustainability-focused improvements.
Keep accurate and updated records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and completed tasks.
Identify potential safety hazards and address them promptly, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Be available to respond to urgent maintenance issues outside regular working hours when required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in hotel maintenance or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including being on call for emergencies.
- Solid understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Certification in maintenance-related fields is a plus.
Schedule: This position requires fully availability during mornings and afternoons, shift of 8 hours could be arranged between 6:00 am to 12:00 am, weekends required.
Work Location: Miami South Beach, FL.
Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of being stand and lifting 15 pounds or more
Work Authorization: Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
FSLA Classification: Non-exempt
