About the Opportunity

Yorktown Search Partners has been retained on a confidential mandate to identify the founding President & CEO for a newly formed Canadian gold exploration company backed by a clean capital structure and a high-impact asset strategy.

The company is built to fast-track early-stage gold properties through exploration and discovery using aggressive public markets strategy, flow-through financing, and strong investor storytelling. It is a lean, founder-led platform with IR and dealmaking support.

The Mandate

This is a founder-style CEO opportunity for a driven executive with experience in junior mining or capital markets. You will lead the business through its first capital raises, strategic property acquisitions, and a public listing via CPC or RTO within 9-12 months.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Finalizing option agreements for high-potential gold properties

  • Leading capital raising, including crowdfunding and flow-through rounds

  • Overseeing exploration strategy, permitting, and 43-101 compliance

  • Executing a go-public transaction within 9-12 months

  • Building a roadmap for either discovery-driven value creation or JV/exit

Ideal Candidate Profile

You may be a current junior mining executive, capital markets professional, or founder-style operator with the following attributes:

  • Demonstrated capital raising ability in natural resources or energy

  • Familiarity with 43-101, flow-throughs, and property option structures

  • Strong storytelling ability and comfort with investor-facing roles

  • Experience with public company formation and RTO/CPC pathways

  • A network across exploration, brokerage, and institutional channels

  • A reputation for trust, execution, and high-conviction leadership
