What youll be doing

Lead teams and project performance/delivery for a portfolio of complex property projects across Southeast based clients

  • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Ensure effective budgetary control of projects, proactively managing/mitigating project slippage, and escalating any budget issues as appropriate
  • Collaborate with wider project team and client lead to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving any issues or obstacles that may arise
  • Prepare and deliver progress reports to clients and internal stakeholders that are well drafted and concise
  • Ensure all project management and governance processes and documentation are delivered & prepared in accordance with internal and client process and procedures
  • Procure consultants and contractors for project delivery in accordance with the clients governance and H&S
  • Accountable for client retention and growth, identifying new project opportunities, writing proposals, devising/delivering innovative and strategic approaches
  • Provide leadership that inspires and nurtures employees to fulfil their potential, empowering them to deliver high quality services
  • Manage and deploy staff effectively and ensure they are performing to agreed standards
  • Deputise for Directors as and when required

What were looking for

  • Track record of successfully managing and delivering complex property projects within the public sector
  • Background in facilities management/property/construction with knowledge of public sector procurement
  • Capable of independently leading on the completion of tasks/activities and being responsible for time management to meet project timescales and potentially tight deadlines
  • Commercially astute, able to consider the financial & commercial impact of your work
  • A confident communicator, able to influence and challenge with extensive stakeholder engagement experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to find innovative solutions
  • Experience of managing budgets and allocation of resources and contributing to financial decisions
  • Proficient in project management software and tools
  • Professional membership to relevant bodies, for example, MCIOB or MIWFM would be advantageous
