Tasks & Responsibilities

  • You will play a pivotal role in identifying, maintaining, and updating our group-wide license inventory, keeping track of actual usage and commercial license volumes.
  • Additionally, you will monitor and develop our Software Asset Management (SAM) to ensure that software licenses are used efficiently and costs are managed responsibly.
  • Your efforts will ensure legal compliance and optimized economic use of software while adhering to compliance guidelines.
  • You will serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on licensing matters, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Furthermore, you will develop, maintain, and communicate policies, guidelines, and procedures in license management to establish clear structures.
  • You will lead and conduct software and license analyses as well as external license audits to optimize our license landscape and ensure compliance requirements are met.

Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience in license management.
  • Preferably experienced with licensing metrics from major software vendors such as Microsoft, SAP, and VMware.
  • Proficiency in using license management tools.
  • Expertise in conducting license audits.
  • Good proficiency in both German (minimum B2) and English (B2) in both written and spoken communication.
